The Miramalfi complex was opened in the spring of 1956 by the head of the Mansi family, Signor Francesco Mansi. Signor Francesco had returned to his hometown after a long stay in Mexico and was determined to fulfil his lifelong dream of living beside the sea and being able to view his hometown from a unique location.  On completion of the hotel and seeing the stunning Amalfi coastline Signor Francesco cried out “Mira, Amalfi!” (Spanish literally: “Look, Amalfi!”).  Hence the name Miramalfi.  For information on how to arrive at this fantastic hotel visit our location page.
